The first rips
Before the floor opened, Bark and Shibo cracked the first packs on a Bark subscriber Space out of DDNYC. Pack three ended on a holographic Gigatron. First Gigatron ever pulled. BradX called it the grail and a museum piece. That pull is the origin story of physical DDL.
The floor opens
September 2, packs were everywhere. Official broadcast: Doginal Dogs went live welcoming the room. Box posted the scene straight: everyone ripping. Dro filmed a pack-opening clip. Swish posted the table. Rus caught Mac ripping and pulling a full-art Mento — Rus offered a free hotel room for the card. Devin said holding the cards in hand was the point. Poe lost it over Vee’s swag unbox and the TCG cards in the same drop. Quality talk stayed on stock, holos, and chase hits — not theory.
Chase sheet already public from the main account: Boogie, Helios, Toot, Mama Bark, Penny, Aria, Volt, Gigatron, Turbo, Darron, Atlas, Wiggles, Bender, Mento, Renza, Shiboshi, Shield, Hunter, Bark. The room spent two days proving those cards exist in foil, in sleeves, in people’s hands.
Then they played
September 3, first IRL DDL TCG tournament. Cards on felt. No screen.
Dick won. Ammon second. Corn third. First prize included a Doginal Dog. Home reffed. Bomb hosted. Duck posted the podium.
Finals were Dick vs Ammon. Roll called the match, then posted the result with video. Vee ran the X broadcasts. Guy streamed Kick. Kush ran the live bracket. And got 0–40’d by Dick in an opener and posted start-to-finish photos. Banter stayed in-pack: can’t hold Dick.
@DDLTCG did not post through the weekend. Coverage was the floor.
Three days, two facts: the packs are real, and Dick is the first IRL champion.
